Prior to Hurricane Frances hitting the Florida Area, a strike team was put into place to aid our fellow employees and
customers in Florida. Elgin Barnes [of PTT Asheville] was assigned to travel with the Eastern Region Strike Team #1 as the “tire person.”
I would like to take this opportunity to commend Elgin on his professionalism, commitment, and overall performance. Elgin
traveled through some very adverse weather conditions, but did it SAFELY and without incident. He quickly became a member of our team to help restore power to thousands of customers in a timely manner.
